Writer. Reader. Creative.
My name is Colleen Bradley.
I’m a screenwriter and novelist with years of experience in television writers’ rooms. I love cheesy 90’s science fiction and reality TV, and I have a lot of strong opinions on shrimp.
Trust me, don’t ask about shrimp.
I’m based in Los Angeles, but still a Midwestern girl at heart.
A coworker once taught me how to make fake cocaine out of Dove soap and Oragel, to sell to unwitting addicts looking for a cheap score. He related this information while we were packing up seatbelts on the assembly line in a stuffy auto manufacturing plant at five in the morning.
I’ve never had occasion to test his recipe, but that job—and the series of strange and amazing jobs that followed it—taught me a lot about who I am and what I want to do with my life. Which is why I now find myself in Los Angeles, thousands of miles from the backwater town in Ohio where I grew up, looking for a career in entertainment.
Professional Work
I have experience in six different writers’ rooms, from “National Treasure: Edge of History” on Disney+ to “Silo” and “The Morning Show” on Apple+. I’ve written character profiles, conducted research, and maintained story documents in addition to keeping detailed daily room notes. I pride myself on creative problem solving and active listening.
Creative Projects
I write left-of-center genre stories with a humorous bent, featuring everyday people in unusual situations. From a pandemic-era comedy YouTube series about internet dating to an in-progress Young Adult novel about teen pirates, I love exploring the strange, the unfamiliar, and the absurd.

Copywriting
I put my creative spark to work outside of fiction as well. From blog-writing to social media, I craft clear, engaging copy to grab readers’ attention.
